Once upon a time, in a castle in Andorra, there lived a beautiful young lady called India. After the death of her mother when she was only seven, India's father, Baron Leo von Halkein, would marry Alexandra Spaulding. India hoped to find a mother in Alexandra, but was unaware that she only married her father in order to gain a title and his promises of help in finding her long lost son. In 1984 Alexandra returned to the Spaulding family mansion in Springfield. Convinced that Alexandra was responsible for leaving her ailing father penniless and breaking his heart (and her own), India would soon arrive in Springfield to seek revenge on her former stepmother and recoup the von Halkein fortune.
